I love Amsterdam. We’ve been there 4x—have friends there which makes it great—like your own personal docents. It’s such a fun city, the coffee shops and the coffee shops ): Such a vibrant spot

Jeanine, how amazing to have friends that live there…it’s a built-in excuse to keep going back. Not that anyone needs an excuse, other than “it’s one of the most fun cities in the world”! 🤗

Yes, it's such a great place, so much to do. And the wide array of different foods from everywhere. Think I mostly love that the Amsterdamians seem to take so many coffee breaks, which is lovely, and the cup always comes with a little cookie. The museums are so great. When we were there, they had a retrospective at the Van Gogh of both his work AND Gaugin's! It was fab. Our friend is a psychiatrist turned artist and she gave us a running commentary on why Vincent's works still looked so vibrant (Theo bought only the best canvases and paints for his brother) and Gaugin, not as in the chips, used whatever he could conceive of, for his masterpieces (bed sheets, etc). I love that city!

"The cup always comes with a little cookie"—yes! I have such fond memories of that detail, too: tiny little pecan sandies and stroopwafels beside every mug of coffee and tea... 😍 Thank you for that lovely reminder!

I am absolutely drooling 🤤!! Your descriptions of the pastries and everything else sent me to my own kitchen, I need to bake something, anything! This is glorious, Maddie, love the photos, too. Now I’m googling the hairpins 😉❤️

PS: you'd look absolutely fantastic in the hairpins. Très chic!

I’m sure I would!! The airport is fabulous… though chaotic with headline making delays when I was there in late 2022.

Ugh re: the delays, but: right?! Why is the airport SO GOOD?!
