I literally gasped at the pics of the brioche. Congrats on the baguette breakthrough, Maddie! Proud of you for becoming a strict machine during school! I have such respect for bakers and those early hours.
I busted out laughing at "Don't flour like a Dalmatian." π mLoved the fun fact about France and freezing things.
This is all so fascinating!!! Weeeeee! (How I feel when I read your newsletters) π
Ok this line painted such an incredible picture in my mind, I came up with a question I somehow hadn't thought to ask before: are your teachers as "mean" (I say that with love, no shade to them, haha) as I'm now imaginging?
Oh, not at all! βΊοΈ I guess itβs more of a lack of coddling and a lack of effusive praise, if that makes sense (which I think are much more typical of the American educational system, especially these days).
Honestly, the directness is refreshing for meβand a much better preparation for the real world, I think!
Busy, busy, busy! I love that you get up with a spring in your step and excited with purpose for the day. You have found your thing, Maddie!
And it only took me 38 years! π
Better late than never! π₯
I second what Erin said!!
Aww, you two! π₯°
Spring in Paris!!! Enjoy it! β€οΈβ€οΈπ·π·
Itβs the moment Iβve been waiting forβ¦for the last 5+ weeks π
Love this! Reminds me of the rustic Italian olive sourdough recipe I adapted from NYC restaurant Il Buco for easy home cooking!

Without a doubt!
