I literally gasped at the pics of the brioche. Congrats on the baguette breakthrough, Maddie! Proud of you for becoming a strict machine during school! I have such respect for bakers and those early hours.
I busted out laughing at "Don't flour like a Dalmatian." 😂 mLoved the fun fact about France and freezing things.
This is all so fascinating!!! Weeeeee! (How I feel when I read your newsletters) 💗
Ok this line painted such an incredible picture in my mind, I came up with a question I somehow hadn't thought to ask before: are your teachers as "mean" (I say that with love, no shade to them, haha) as I'm now imaginging?
Oh, not at all! ☺️ I guess it’s more of a lack of coddling and a lack of effusive praise, if that makes sense (which I think are much more typical of the American educational system, especially these days).
Honestly, the directness is refreshing for me—and a much better preparation for the real world, I think!
Busy, busy, busy! I love that you get up with a spring in your step and excited with purpose for the day. You have found your thing, Maddie!
And it only took me 38 years! 😜
Better late than never! 🥂
I second what Erin said!!
Aww, you two! 🥰
Spring in Paris!!! Enjoy it! ❤️❤️🌷🌷
It’s the moment I’ve been waiting for…for the last 5+ weeks 😅
Love this! Reminds me of the rustic Italian olive sourdough recipe I adapted from NYC restaurant Il Buco for easy home cooking!

Thanks, Harrison—this sounds mouthwatering!
I want to eat all of those baguettes. Then again, I want to eat everything here!
Faxing you one ASAP!

I’m so glad you enjoyed it, Lesli—thank you! ☺️

Yes, that makes sense! And I can imagine the directness being *really* helpful.
Without a doubt!
Pink praline! 🌸 I love your daily posts from Paris so much Maddie!
Your enthusiasm keeps me going, my dear friend! 🤗

I'm glad I'm reading this AFTER lunch, Maddie! Baptisms of fire are now 'The Sticky Dough' test! Bravo.
I couldn't agree more, Victoria! Thank you so much 🤗
